This pattern is from Stacy Nash Designs and it has been chosen by the Across the Pond community as the 2026 SAL starting 12th January 2025. If you haven't yet, please join our Facebook group to Stitch-A-Long with us! 😊

The sewing roll pattern features a house, bird, bees, flower and floral border; the pattern also includes a separate chart for a floral biscornu and a scissor fob featuring a bee from one side and a rose from the other. It includes written finishing instructions.

Called for fabric: 36 ct Beige from Weeks Dye Works, substituted in the kit available in this listing by custom dyed 'Medium' Sanditon by Swan Bay Fabrics (see listing photo) - get SAL fabric HERE

Called for threads: Weeks Dye Works floss - Oscar, Dolphin, Havana, Chickpea, Mascara, Raspberry, Linen, Sanguine

Stitch count: Sewing Roll - 97x205, Biscornu 39x39, Fob 28x28

Project margins: This project will need a fat quarter linen or fat half Aida of Sanditon fabric in the count of your choice - in order to fit the quarter, we have calculated 32ct with 2.5'' margins for the Sewing Roll; and 2'' borders for both biscornu and fob. As the project will not be framed but cut down to 1/2'' border before finishing, 2-2.5'' stitching border should be completely sufficient. You will receive a fabric cutting guide with your kit, showing how to cut your fat quarter in order to fit all parts of the project on your piece of fabric.

Thread kits: We have calculated the threads needed for this project based on this approximate thread usage calculator, adjusted to WDW length, and deducted added further 10% extra thread for any mistakes along the way. The thread use was then rounded up and should be more than sufficient for your project even if the frog comes to visit (we hope it won't though!).
